Las Culturas School is placed in an residential area in the outskirts of the city, very close to a salt lake. It is surrounded by two urbanisations absolutely different: -families of a medium social level, most of them retired people from nothern countries, but also families from Morocco, South America countries and other places, families that have less economical resources. School facilities: In the year 2006 we occupied the building of school (years before we were in pre-built classrooms). The school has got four big playgrounds depend on the age of our children. We have at the moment more or less 700 students from 3 years old until 12 years. During the last two years the school is implementing new measures as using free plastic containers for food, doing activities with reused materials, self awareness and conciousness among students about taking care of the environment through the movement “FRIDAYS FOR FUTURE” in order to progressively develop the concept of “Ecoschool” in the educative community.
